Year 11 & Sixth Form Leavers
School Leaving Age
England
You can leave school on the last Friday in June if you will be 16 by the end of the Summer holidays.
You must then do one of the following until you are 18:
- stay in full-time education, e.g. at a college;
- start an apprenticeship or traineeship;
- work or volunteer (for 20 hours or more a week) while in part-time education or training.
If your child is leaving us in Year 11 this academic year to pursue their learning elsewhere, their last day with us will be the last Friday in June.
If your child is staying on at Wyre Forest School, they will remain with us to begin their new curriculum and stay in school until we break up for the Summer Holidays.
