Referrals to the provision can come from the Local Authority and/or from within the school with the Local Authority’s agreement. The criteria for admission to the provision includes: supporting older pupils to develop life/independence skills preparing them for adulthood, supporting pupils where due to family circumstances life in the family home is difficult and education is impaired, supporting pupils that require additional extracurricular education with life skills, and supporting pupils who may require a consistent education/care joint package for other reasons agreed through the Annual Review, CIN or LAC process.
