It is our policy that all pupils from Reception to Year 11 wear school uniform when attending school, representing the school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours. The aim is that pupils of Wyre Forest School will develop and feel a sense of community and belonging through the wearing of the school uniform. However, we do have a relaxed approach to uniform as we understand the differing needs of our pupils.

We run a swap shop of nearly new uniform, open daily, weather permitting. 

Daily School Uniform

This should consist of:	Optional extras include:
White long or short-sleeved shirt or polo shirt [with or without the school logo] Black, dark grey or navy-blue trousers, skirt or shorts Black, dark grey or navy-blue round or V-neck sweatshirt or cardigan [with or without the school logo] Dark coloured shoes	Dark coloured fleece jacket [with or without school logo] Blue and white summer dress [can be worn any time of year]
Pupils are also encouraged to bring: a bag (e.g., backpack, satchel, etc.) and a coat of their own choice

 

 

 

 

 

 

PE and Swimming Kit

Sports shorts and/or trousers (dark coloured, where possible) Plain t-shirt (preferably white) Trainers	Swim shorts (for boys) and swimming costume (for girls) Large towel

Outdoor Learning Kit

Pupils can wear their outdoor learning clothes instead of school uniform on the day they are due to participate in outdoor learning. Outdoor learning kit should consist of:

Old, comfortable clothing suitable for the weather conditions Warm, waterproof coat Sturdy footwear, e.g., walking boots/shoes Wellington boots Seasonal items, such as a woolly hat/scarf/gloves for Winter or sun hat for Summer, are optional but advised

Nursery and Sixth Form

Nursery and Sixth Form pupils are not required to wear uniform. However, in these circumstances, the clothing worn by pupils must still follow some fundamental principles:

• It must be safe and practical for school use.
• It must not promote unacceptable messages – drugs, violence, racism, etc.
• The Headteacher or her representative will decide on limits of acceptability.
• It must not conceal identity.
• Caps, hats or any other headwear are unacceptable within school.

How to Order School Uniform 

Orders can be placed and paid for through the School Trends website and following the order instructions. Uniform can be purchased from any supermarket - we often have lots of recycled uniform on offer.
